A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

PHILOSOPHY
Words matter. They shape our interactions. They define our relationships. They both reflect and influence the things we value. Words have a lasting power than can, occasionally, endure a lifetime. And at the same time, they maintain the agility to pop up or disappear overnight.
I aim, always, to wield words with the respect they deserve. It’s no secret that a great joke can increase the value of its airtime as it’s told and retold in the break room. Or that a tagline can make or break an idea. Or that when a brilliant concept is articulated with the right cadence and style, something hardly short of magic happens.
Words can move needles and move people to tears and make even the most mundane activities seem novel or fun. That power is something I work daily to harness and intend never to take for granted.

DOWNTIME
I work hard. I laugh hard. I find innate satisfaction in making things. And when I’m not making things for money, I’m making things for myself. I dabble in fiction and fiddle with mixology and spend and inordinate amount of time preparing my own dinner.
Like most people, I like doing things I’m good at, but I also try to consistently maintain one hobby in which I am truly terrible—like short-form improv or aerial silks—because I love the sense of freedom that comes with letting go of performance-based expectations.
I also like spending my time with people who love things: comedy nerds, cinephiles, art fanatics and foodies. If you too are the kind of person who loves things, hit me up. We can hang.
